How It Works

How Online Psychiatry and Addiction Care Works in Maryland

Dr. Hardik Yadav, MD

Board-Certified Psychiatrist · Addiction Medicine (ABPM) · Maryland

Online care at Ansh Health Associates follows a clear path: a free 15-minute consult, a full 60-minute intake, then follow-up visits that track how you're doing.

A Free 15-Minute Consult

Every visit is by video anywhere in Maryland, every visit is with Dr. Hardik Yadav, MD himself, and the rates are listed before you book.

You start with a free 15-minute video consult. It is a chance to talk through what is going on, hear how Dr. Yadav can help, and get the practical questions out of the way: scheduling, paperwork, and anything you want to ask before committing. Nothing is charged for this call, and you decide afterward whether to book a full visit.

A 60-Minute Initial Visit With Dr. Hardik Yadav, MD

Your first full appointment runs a complete 60 minutes, because getting the picture right the first time is what saves months later. Dr. Yadav takes a detailed personal and family history and, depending on what you are dealing with, uses a standard rating scale to put a number on it: the PHQ-9 for depression, GAD-7 for anxiety, ASRS for ADHD, or MDQ for bipolar disorder. When two conditions overlap, such as anxiety sitting under depression or ADHD, he treats them together, which is usually where the earliest relief comes from. When it helps the medication choice, he can order genetic testing to see how your body processes a given medication. You work with Dr. Yadav directly at every visit.

Follow-Up Visits That Track Your Progress

Follow-up visits run about 30 minutes, longer when you need it. At each one, Dr. Yadav rechecks the same rating scales, so a change in how you feel shows up as a number he can act on instead of a guess. He adjusts your plan based on what you actually report. Most patients notice a difference within two to four appointments, and you see the same psychiatrist every time, so the person adjusting your treatment already knows your history.

What Online Visits Are Like Across Maryland

Every appointment is a video visit you can take from home or a private spot at work, anywhere in Maryland, with evening and weekend times that fit around a job. No in-person visit is required at any point, including for ADHD medication and for Suboxone and other addiction treatment. The platforms are HIPAA-compliant, and because care is out-of-network and cash-pay, nothing is billed to insurance, so your treatment stays off your insurance record and separate from your employer. You keep working with Dr. Yadav himself the whole way through, so every video visit is with the same psychiatrist who already knows your case.

How Out-of-Network Billing Works

Ansh Health Associates lists its rates up front, so you know the cost before you book. The initial 60-minute evaluation is $350 and follow-up visits are $200. Dr. Yadav is out-of-network and does not bill insurance, so you pay at the time of the visit by credit, debit, or HSA/FSA card. Afterward, you can request a superbill: an itemized receipt with the CPT codes already on it. You submit that to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. How much comes back depends on your plan's out-of-network benefits, which the free 15-minute consult is a good time to sort out.
